A lot of thinking and fabricating went into this process that started with a used Peep mirror.  I cut the shaft in half and added an extension tube and then I found that the base that sits on the tire needed to curve in 4 different direction and since I don't have an english wheel I used two different pieces o body steel.  I decided to secure the leather to the steel with a pair of SS knobs, just to insure that the mirror didn't move with the leather changing it's length with the seasons.
